Cozy

This one snug in (whatcan you do?!)

And I have begun a vest, inspired by the "Fri hækling"-books. The book says: "Draw and cut a shape" (in my case a vest), "And make sure your design stays within the edges of this". That's it! It's a wonderful project.
Lovely collection. And here.

In Between

I love inbetweens. The space in which nothing is thought, nothing is spoken and every possible possibility stand vibrant and open. Not being defined. Being only InBetween. A mere glimpse in ones consciousness; focus on it—and it'll be gone.
A similar, but different InBetween is the inbetween of projects. On the satisfaction of having concluded something, comes an ever so silent holding of breath, before deciding what to make next. It is empty and endless in the best way. Followed inevidably by a roaring river of defining new projects. Awesome!
So. The Sweater:
And the perhaps-new stuff:

Elsebeth gave me these two books (Thank you, dear friend;). I looove them. They're completely 70s-groovy. No rules or patterns—"just-crochet-away-and-see-what-happens". Great!

There!

Very Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you and your families will have wonderful relaxing days with love and togetherness.
It has been so long since I have posted, and since I have skip-hopped along those tangled paths of blogger-world, and I miss it so so much. But between sorting out my head, my feelings, and the sweater (haha—I am now half a sleeve and one neck short of being done), I just couldn't oversee it. Now, finally, thoughts are beginning to quiet down, and I feel almost ... myself again:)

January 1st, I am starting my own business. *Yay*. I am happy and excited and a little bit nervous. I mean —I'm on my own now. No safe pay check by the end of the month, no pension, no insurance. But it feels right! Like there is no other way. And I am experiencing so much luck. I'm being helped in every possible (and impossible) way. Syncronicity. In all its beauty. I am deeply thankful.

It's probably a small thing for Mankind, but a huuuuuge deal for me, so please forgive the drama and secretiveness:))) But there it is. The beans, I mean ;-))

Thank you for commenting—even though I was absent. See you soon. I wish you the best of the best of the best of Christmases, along with peace and calm. Happy Holidays.

Change is coming

I haven't been very busy here lately—my mind has been preoccupied. In a huge way. Change is coming; it's exciting and breathtaking. And it is going to be wonderful. I'm sure of it. —not going to spill the beans just yet, but it won't be long:)

Hello Ms Moon

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on the previous post. Votes for the dear deer were in favour of No 2—eight to four:))
Don't you just love these crisp mornings? I can't help taking pictures of the sky—and I'm in awe how it changes by the second. (So I run from window to window, shooting pictures - waayyy to cold outside for me to place my bare feet on the balcony ;-))

Btw -- My house-wife-account is filling up very nicely these days. I'm knitting a sweater for my husband. And it is taking me forever. I'm quite slow at it. Enjoying though:)
What are you up to?

~>O<~ (I have asked Santa for her textile print book for Christmas. Do you think I will gettit?)

Betsy Walton

I received this beauty in the mail yesterday. Ouuuhh, I feel so happy looking at it. I fell in love on Etsy, and now it is here, even prettier than I had hoped. The colours more vibrant, and the texture of the paper more perfect than I had dreamed. THANK YOU, Betsy Walton, for being such a stunning, talented artist. Now I will go find a good frame for my pretty print:)
Betsy also make an animation; Paper Airplane.

Fragile

One breath, and the light is gone. I chose to set all else aside this afternoon after work, grab the cam, and go for a walk. I am deeply thankful that I did.

Busybusybusy

Haha. Sometimes I feel like I'm waaayy ahead of me, and I runrunrun to catch up. But I can't help laughing at it, 'cause I know it's only my ambitions running up there, turning it's head every two seconds, going C'mon, you slow twit, get moving. And I just laugh harder.
Anyhoo--feeling utterly uninspired, I took a few lazy evenings on the couch last week, and then -BAM!- was hit by a zillion ideas on Monday. (Runrunrun -- haha:-D) A few of them are here (below) and in the shop. More to come.

Very beautiful, spiritual post from Superhero Journal

October 12th/ IF:Strings

Blogging is like travelling, don't you find? Last night I went on a long and adventurous journey, and today I have lots of links.
Cool typographic image at Mike Perrys. And super cute kitchen towel at Orange You Lucky.—Then I got into an orbit of textile and softee-works; so much sweet stuff at wee wonderfuls, which led me on to good vibes at Oh Happy Days. This reminded me of super-cool Copenhagen shop; Crème de la Crème à la Edgar—she is sooo talented. And well, then I had to visit Three Potato Four—more awesome stuff. And check out this Llama at Lamadesigns.
Now I just wanna drag my sewing maschine out from the closet ;)

How is your Sunday?

Unimportant important

Sometimes, littlest things can be so big. I had so many little things today, my chest almost can't hold it. Wonderful, insignificant and overwhelming. —I looked for this song for (I'm not kidding you) 19 years, and today it found me. I listened to it, and it was no big deal, but my heart laughed. Things like this. All day.
Heard this (below) on the radio. You be the judge of its littleness/greatness :-)

I send you happiness, for the weekend to come.

Self Control and Rough Weather

In need for indoor shoes, she had only one request: Kitty!

Fun, and very easy to make, with leftover felt from the Tea-House. I'd like to make more, but it will have to wait a while. I have a few unfinished projects :)

Thank you all, for your sweet, encouraging words for the shop:)
Please, see these beauties from Geninne. She also has a blog.

It's rough out today. I'll stay in, try all my teas and bounce on my new chair:))

Preparring

my first Etsy-sales. I'm making 9x13 cm (3,5x5 in) note books, each different from the other, with a mix of decorated and blank sheets (and complementary stickers - bottom of the picture). I'm having a great time–I only hope you will receive them well:) I'll have them spined next week, and they will be good-to-go.
Browsing music the other night, here are four tunes I would like to share with you: Danish artist Lizzie, Ramt i natten (such a sweet beat), Katy Perry; I kissed a girl (and I liked it), Jason Mraz; I'm Yours - such a wonderful, happy tune. At first I thought it was Jack Johnson - and I love him:) Last; Danish artist Sys Bjerre with her song Malene.

Slow food on the Kitchen blog today.

Tagged

- by Flora Douville (thank you:) for 6 reason why I blog. Here goes:
1) because of the inspiration - you awesome, talented bloggers out there never seize to amaze and dazzle me. I thank you daily.
2) the communication (this was a side effect I hadn't calculated with, when I began). I love the little conversations, the curiousity, and the interest we take in each other. You guys are so sweet.
3) I experiment more, make more doodles and more silly stuff, now that I have a place to put it:)
...
which pretty much sums it up. I could elaborate on no 1; The beauty, the ideas, the images, the sharing of everyday life and joy and spirit, all of which are inspirational and part of the reason I blog.
I'm improving my english (Danish blogger here:) - not at all a reason, but a most welcome side effect:)

(I wasn't very structured at this;) Instead of tagging six particular, I will tag everyone who would like to share the reasons they blog. (Please leave a word if you accept the tag - I would love to read your reasons)

Tag rules: give 6 reasons why you keep a blog, choose 6 people to go on the game, if you have time, put a comment on this page with a link to your post and your blog’s theme.

Very foodie weekend - 3 new recipes on Kitchen Blog.

Sunday Afternoon Note

Went for a walk in the forest, bringing a bag and a little knife - just in case. 'Cause actually it's early for mushrooms, but summer came early this year, and we've had damp weather lately.
I go after the boletus (=delicious and non-poisenous), and recall where to look for them. Noses in the ground, under the conifers, we seek, and there, almost hidden, its top the same colour as the forest floor, the little treasure stands, quiet as if holding its breath in an ancient game of hide and seek. Once we had seen one, it was as if all the others revealed themselves in gentle defeat. The small area held a bunch. We picked a few, and felt happy, as their earthy aromatic smell anounced coming of autumn.

*yay*

Look what the postman brought yesterday. I saw it months ago, on amazon. The cover was different, therefore I pre-ordered, and waited, and waited, and waited for this edition to be released. I think the cover is adorable.
As is the book. An alphabetized encyclopaedia of existence of and by a woman who (quote): was not abused, abandoned, or locked up as a child (...) did not live in poverty, or in misery, or in an exotic country. Is not a misunderstood genious, a former child celebrity, or the child of a celebrity. (...)
It has tables, a helping guide to readers who are not familiar with commen American ordinary traditions, letters, pictures and drawings (e.g. an amazing comparison in Identity: Experiment: How might I look as a WANTED poster, a) drawing based on father's description to police sketch artist and b) drawing based on husband's description to police sketch artist.
This is one read I look forward to. Se more here:) Happy sunday:)

man watching dog watching bird

Going through one of many messy drawers, I stumbled across my remazoles. So with these staining babies in hand, I'm experimenting away.
Rina tagged me for six random facts; I'll try to list them without considering too much.
1. My favourite candy in the whole world is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (my mouth water, just typing this).
2. I'm a messy artist - especially when deadlines close in on me. After having met the harshest deadlines, I tidy up, though, being quite organized as a person.
3. I feel blessed living where seasons change, but I fancy fall most of all (and am a bit of a poet, too ;-D)
4. Number three made me think of The Scarlet Pimpernel - I love that movie.
5. Like Rina, I have (allthough only a few) Italian genes. – Just enough to paint my hair dark brown.
6. On my CD player right now; George Michael - Older.

Thanks Rina. I will now tag Marie-Louise, Snapping Twig, Flora Douville, Natascha Rosenberg, Deborah Champion and Deborah Mori. Hope you'll play.
Tag rules: Link to the person who tagged you. Post the rules on your blog. Write 6 random things about yourself. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them. Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog. Let the tagger know when your entry is posted.

Amazing

I'm speachless! Partly because it was that good, partly because my voice is reduced from all the screaming, woohouuing and singing last night. His final concert of his 25live World Tour, and I was there, jumping, dancing, laughing and clapping my hands together for two hours straight, completely exhillerated.
GEORGE MICHAEL -- YOU KING OF POP, YOU!
It was an awesome show. After 27 years, he sooo still got it. Groovy, funky can't-sit-down-gotta-move-got it. Thank you, B, for calling, M for buying, and H for jumping-singing next to me. And thank you, GM, for stepping off the posters of my mid-80's pink teenageroom-walls to grant me this beautiful experience.

Thank you for your words - and link - on my previous post. Bunny sends her love and appreciation - she feels very welcome :) And Rina; thank you for tagging me - I will post my randomness shortly :) I wish you all a glorious Sunday:)) Ev'rybody - C'mon -- waaiiii. Oups - sorry - concert-vibes still in me.
