Nye Lykkeposer, og Tak til Maries Ideer :-)

UPDATE :: POSERNE ER SOLGT :-) Tak for jeres køb!

Suppliii-iiies

It won't be long now; The 1st of the Salons is rapidly approaching, I find it hard to wait :-)
Though the first Salon is Paper-themed,  Pernille & I went on a field trip to Beadhouse Thursday, stocking up for the Jewelry Salon in May. This of course made me macrame all night. And throw in a pair of earrings too.

Beadhouse is the kind of store you wish stay in business forever! Copenhagen (sadly) have only few hobby supply stores, and with limited selections, but Beadhouse is the utmost counterpart to this. They have EVERYTHING in beads. These phone shots are just the glass beads (except the table - I couldn't resist), and just a narrow slice of the store. The place is a little bit messy, but it's candy land to 'beadies' ;-)

While waiting for House of Cards, season II, Suits has been a welcome pastime. Theme song: Ima Robot Greenback Boogie.

Sunday Pursuits

Two of the necklaces are from HipZen, by Birgitte Nørgaard. The white glass bead is from a friend,  and the necklace with the egyptian eye pendant I made today with smoke quartz beads and a pendant from Sinai.
These green and earthy tones are among my favorite colors

 ...
We also spun a basket of wool for the titmice on the balcony today. I hope it will be as great a success as last year, and make many a nest warm and cozy :)

Favorite color

Thank you again for playing advent calendar this month. The last presents are on their way to their new owners, I hope you like them :-) And I hope your Christmas days are mellow and peaceful.

The holiday created a space for a bit of trinket-making. I love making trinkets! These (top) were a little challenging, just enough to be fun to make. I can't dodge these colors no matter how hard I try to experiment with: "yeah, I'm like into ...yellow!" Nope. I'm into brown. And this watery blue-green. My closet reflects it. My yarn stash. And my trinkets. And hey :-) My Pinterest boards. Which makes me smile. A natural attraction, I guess :-)
Do you have a palette you always return to?
...
Pernille made Bell Jars. Want to make these next year :-)

a m·i·n·i·a·t·u·r·e GIVEAWAY

Why is it, that all things tiny just makes me go »aww...« ?! Well, these little guys made my head tilt with the velocity of a summer lightning!
Naturally, I'd like to share my miniature excitement, and what better way to do that, than with a tiny GIVE-AWAY. So if you'd like a pair of earrings—fruit of your choise—leave a comment to this post before October 1st :-) Please state which pair you'd prefer to win (see the little number under the earringees?) I will draw two winners, and notify directly. I hope you'd like to play along.

(btw—the book on which the earrings are photographed, is the lovely »FLORA« by Nick Knight).
(lastly; a little »after«-image to go with the »before« from ... well ... before. I may not be the most active blogger these days, but I s'rre finish me teacozies ...)

Sunday thoughts, and past week's to-doings

Hello :-)
It's been a while.
What have you been up to?

In this part of town there's been
work, and in between ...

making necklaces...

beading our new door sign ...

... knitting, and relaxing
—and I went to see The King's Speech (at the cinema, which is a big deal for me ;-)

There hasn't been much blogging. Alas. Not time for everything.

Oh yes, another thing I've been doing, is a bit of internet-shopping. For the longest time, I have had Keri Smith's Nonplanner Datebook on my wish list, and last week I found a European website which carried it, and I ordered it right away. Can't wait to flip throught its pages!

What is your best online buy ever?
I'll have to think about mine ...

Still plenty of time to enter giveaway :-)
