Favorite color

Thank you again for playing advent calendar this month. The last presents are on their way to their new owners, I hope you like them :-) And I hope your Christmas days are mellow and peaceful. 

The holiday created a space for a bit of trinket-making. I love making trinkets! These (top) were a little challenging, just enough to be fun to make. I can't dodge these colors no matter how hard I try to experiment with: "yeah, I'm like into ...yellow!" Nope. I'm into brown. And this watery blue-green. My closet reflects it. My yarn stash. And my trinkets. And hey :-) My Pinterest boards. Which makes me smile. A natural attraction, I guess :-)

In-betweener: Christmas Cake's ready

Six weeks ago I chopped, sliced, stirred and baked this year's Christmas Cake, and this weekend it was ready to be covered in marcipan and fondant, and decorated. I love making this cake, and I am giddy with anticipation when the first slice is cut—to finally see and taste the result of all these weeks of waiting (and brandy-drizzling).

Sinai – last of the photos

With two hours of yoga in the morning, and meditation morning and evening, softness quickly found its way. We sat in silence in the dessert, under the sky, surrounded by majestic mountains. Here, one could hear the sound of ones own breathing, and the blood's roaring in ones ears. I have never heard silence like this in nature.

The Hussias in which we stayed are on the shore of the sea. I went snorkling for the first time in my life, and it blew my mind! Empty mellow days and soft starsprinkled nights, Turkish coffees with sweet taste of cardamom, and musicians meeting over the bondfire in the evening ...
