A walk from one end of my place to the other, and my shoes looks like this:) I mop the floor, and pretend the floor is the only place the dust lands. So I don't worry about it. And the work being done, which causes the mess, is great. Only downside is my absence from this. I haven't had time to sit down for real, to view, and awe and link and laugh (ough--that would be great. With a serious tone, like "never drink and drive" -- "Never link and laugh") Sorry -- got carried away there. Any-hoo -- I miss it, and soon I'll be back to my ol' black-footed, mess-less, linkin' laughin' self:)) It was a beautiful day today - crisp air and lots of sunshine. Tonight, I'm going to Musikcaféen to hear Clara sing. I love live music -- can't wait:))
and of course; February 28th Hmm ... -- 'bit messy. (I wonder how that happened ...) Crazy bento boxes by luckysundae:)
/February 27th. My living room is completely filled up (and very messy), while another room is being made into two. It leaves little room for paint and brushes. Alas -- ye faithfull pencil to the rescue;)
I was so inspired by Audrey's beautiful working spot, in the middle of what seemed to be her living room, I have thought of little since:) So -- I would like to try to start a new tag -- ask if people will share a glimpse of their creative corners (or halls, or tables or studios or ...) and then tag 5 themselves. Here's mine. Now I will tag Flora, Smosch, Esti, Nina Seven and Karin, let them know what to do, and hope they'll want to play (wish me luck:)
Tomorrow, these little fellas will be shipped out. Off, into (three very different corners of) the world. Happy travelling to you:)) I just love seeing people's work-spaces. Here is Audrey Kawasaki's -- isn't it wonderful???
I have uploaded the previously mentioned crafts fair-earrings to my new Flickr. I hope you would like to take a look:) Some of them are hopelessly blurry, the light was on hasty reatreat, and camera focus manual. Oh well;)
Some time ago, I did croquis regularly for years - I don't anymore, but it is one of those things I want to make time for again. I don't know if this goes for anyone else, but when I have done something ALOT alot, I tend to lean back in the habit of it, and one of many croquis excercises was drawing with my left hand (I'm right-handed) which forced me to pay renewed attention to the process. Todays page is left-hand made from happy memory ;-) No live model was available
Ever since I saw La petit putain, waaaay back when, I've found Charlotte Gainsbourg to be so incredibly beautiful - and last year she made beautiful music. She has such a delicate voice, and a sweet, subtle accent. I love this song, and I get lost in these quiet lyrics;
I saw somebody who/ reminded me of you/ before you got afraid/i wish that you could've stayed that way/i saw a little girl/i stopped and smiled at her/ she screamed and ran away/ it happens to me more and more these days//and these songs that you sing/ do they mean anything/ to the people you're singing them to/ people like you i saw a photograph/a woman in a bath/ of hundred dollar bills/if the cold doesn't kill her, money will//i read a magazine/that said by seventeen/ your life was at an end/ i'm dead and i'm perfectly content//and these songs that i sing/ do they mean anything/ to the people i'm singing them to/ people like you// and these songs that we sing/ do they mean anything/ to the people we're singing them to// tonight they do
