New Art Journal In The Making

Half way into meditation last night, a strong remembrance suddenly popped into my head: MY OLD LETRASET SHEETS! My mind ran amok – I hadn't used them for years – could they still be in that white box? – No, I had moved them – Or had I? Sitting on my cushion, trying to maintain focus, the desire to shoot up and see if I would be able to find them was screaming for my attention :-)

I didn't cave! I sat – with my raging thoughts – until my little bell rang. Then I ran!

A mix of joy, nostagia and routine as I sat down to work the letters into my sketchbook. I got this bundle of arbitrary letters when I was in Art School (awww!); back then, they weren't nearly old enough to be cool vintage—just old crap. Good thing one tends to be a bit of a hoader. (More on that later).

(»Tiden« means the time in Danish).

Jaja. Pyt. :-)

  3. Great ideas always surface when they shouldn't, like when in meditation. Glad you could use it afterwards. And the yellow is so happy, thanks for sharing Christine!

Yes, in the oddest of moments—often just before falling asleep too :-)
