Sssssscarf

;-) made from bandana, first introduced to me by Amy Sedaris, who made this incredible book: I Like You, Hospitality Under The Influence. Hilarious reading, and quite inspirational in its own odd way:))

On my way to work

Experimenting s'more

Replacing the elderflower stem with a leaf, resulted in an unexpected effect, as the ink smeared. What a perfect hiding place for Owl. It was 7.52 minutes before the other animals found him. Succes!

Camilla Engman had a link to a TEDtalk with Maira Kalman. What a beautiful style she has. Her work made me think of David Shrigley. He cracks me up -- doing off-the-top-of-his-head reflections, in writing and B&W drawings -- so funny. With no relation, Sam here is definately worth visiting, as is photographer Christine Rudolph. Beautiful.

Great IFs

Carousel on the hill, rottentuna, Chichi Parish and Valeria.

November birthdays

I have a couple of birthday parties coming up in november, and thought that a little card making in advance would be the thing to do. Happy weekend to everyone:)

Doodleing

I still feel like such a novice in this fabulous world of blogging, and one of my recurrent concerns is -- what to post! Yesterday, for instance, I made a pair of earrings (I'm wearing'em today -- I'm so happy:), but should I post them? I also took pictures of the pear crumble cake I made, but should I post those? *sigh* Hm. Maybe I'm not supposed to figure it out. In the meantime I'm posting this (below) -- a little doddle to go with the non-posted crumble cake picts. There! Decision made!
Also; Christine Rudolph takes wonderful pictures.

PIF

Sometimes good things happen really fast and all accidentally, and this is one of those things, happening five minutes ago:
Pay It Forward (I will follow Camilla Engman) - here's the rules:
"I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog."

I (as Camilla Engman did) know there is the time difference, I can't do it "right"(either), sorry for that (too).

With no connection to the above, these dresses are beautiful.

Xmas cards and quilting

A bit early with the Christmas card ideas -- I know, and they may change 1.ooo.ooo times before december, but this is 1st bid for this years' Hooray for Happy Holidays.
Whereas quilting goes -- well I'm not a quilter, but I sometimes wish I was. When I see colours put together like this, I go all mnuschi inside.

Misc -- with audio!

I just discovered how to post music on my blog. Ilikethat:D
Feel free to explore my "Music Recms" on your right, below profile and links.
These wabi-sabi are fantastic. And do visit Renato Ilustras, Rachel Caiano, Estrellas y Caracoles, Sete Dias Seven Days , Well.illbedarned, and Sheree Boyd.
Enjoy:)

Hama forever -- inspired

I like Hama beads!
On one of my recent tours visiting blogs from all over, I saw a yellow Hama leaf, and two days later, I desperately wanted to make one. Now I want to credit my source of inspiration, only problem is, though, I don't remember where I saw it. Anyhoo -- here's my tribute, if I figure out where the inspirational leaf is from, I will post it right away.

Ikaros 2007

The fall holds great treasures. I've used these before for illustrations, I have always thought they look like wings.
And Mr. Spider outside my window matched beautifully in colour. I couldn't resist;)

Without further ado: Check this guy out. He does crazy with paper.

And Flora makes great music:)

Almost IF: Extremes

Usually, the illustrations I do for Illustration Friday take me hours. I work on'em, then sleep on'em, and then I work some more. This week holds no time for this process, so this (dot) in contrast to what I usually do, is going to be my "extreme" ...
Is it far fetched? Hmmm -- I guess it is a bit;)

Beautiful Sunday

Nothing beats a fall sky:)

Pillow Project

I have startet on (yet another;) project; I would like to fill my sofa with hand made pillows, and I've been sketchin' away on'em (pictures below). It's a long term thing, considering all the other projects I've got going on; the knitted sweater, the baby socks, the outfit for the doll, the fabric pictures, the scraps, the crocheted blanket 140x200 (!), the broche, the cup-candles, not to mention the belts, the cross stitch, the IFs and all the InBetweens. Life is grand.

Lovely and inspirering: Smosch and Showpony.
